Cookies policy

Last updated: November 2025

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on netballtrust.co.uk (the “Site”), why we use them, and how you can control them. For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

1) What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to help us understand how the site is used. Similar technologies (like local storage and pixels) work in a comparable way; we refer to all of them as “cookies”.

2) Who sets cookies on this Site?

  • First-party cookies: set by netballtrust.co.uk to operate core features (security, load balancing, forms, basic performance).

  • Third-party cookies: set by services we use to deliver features. On our Site these may include:

    • Video / media (e.g., YouTube when you choose to play a video).

    • Donations (Peoplesfundraising, when you click through to donate).

Some third-party cookies are only set after you interact with their content (e.g., pressing play or continuing to their site).

3) How we use cookies (categories)

  • Strictly necessary (essential) – required for the Site to function (security, network management, page rendering, and form submission). These do not require consent.

  • Functionality – remember choices (e.g., language or layout) and improve your experience.

  • Performance – help us understand usage (aggregated, non-identifying metrics) so we can improve the Site.

  • Media / Social – enable playback of embedded videos or content hosted by third parties who may set cookies for their own purposes.

We do not set advertising/retargeting cookies on our pages. If we introduce them later, this policy and our consent banner will be updated first.

4) Your choices: consent & controls

On your first visit, non-essential cookies are off until you choose Accept in our banner (if shown). You can change your preferences at any time via Cookie Settings (link in the Site footer) or by adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may impact how the Site functions (e.g., forms or media playback).
