The Award is a recognition of her efforts to utilise the Trust’s netball coaching programme and reach girls and boys who are located in some of the least developed regions of Uganda and India.
Monica was one of four nominees including Manisha Tailor, Aisha Ahmad and Rimla Akhtar.
The awards are presented by Real Business and the Royal Bank of Scotland to Asian Women achievers in various fields including business, arts & culture, entrepreneurship, social & humanitarian activities and sports.
The Asian Women of Achievement Awards, co-founded by Pinky Lilani OBE in 1999, were conceived to celebrate the often unsung Asian heroines of British life. Such women make a huge contribution in fields as diverse as business, entrepreneurship and social and humanitarian work. These awards, are their moment in the spotlight.
